Southside Whisky Club #003 - Wednesday 22nd January 2025 with Lochlea Distillery
This ticket entitles you to entry to the third meeting of The Glasgow Southside Whisky Club.
The club aims to be a friendly, informal and inclusive space to meet like minded whisky folk and of course peruse, enjoy and discuss some fine whiskies along the way.
Wednesday 22nd January
7:30pm
The Corona Bar, 1039 Pollokshaws Rd, Shawlands
The year is 1777… William Burnes takes on the lease as Tenant Farmer at Lochlea Farm near Tarbolton, Ayrshire. His son Robert is 18 years old when the family move to the farm and he works the land until his father’s death in 1784.
Fast forward 241 years and Lochlea Farm is now home to the Lochlea Distillery. We are delighted to welcome Lochlea as hosts of our first meeting of 2025.
Not an official Burns Supper by any means, more a casual celebration of Scotland’s national drink as well as our national poet. The lovely folks at the Corona will be providing us with a traditional Scottish taster plate at half time to add a small culinary element to proceedings.
Come ye one and all!
